See, unlike a normal study, a Scientific Statement by such an organization is a much more definitive position. Countless experts are putting their reputations on the line to present something as fact.
The society provided extensive evidence in that statement: “Results from animal models, human clinical observations, and epidemiological studies converge to implicate [xenoestrogens] as a significant concern to public health.”
 
Compounds like Bisphenol A (BPA) and phthalates are two of the most common offenders, frequently found in food containers, water bottles, cosmetics, and a myriad of other household items.

When these chemicals enter the body, they disrupt your hormonal system, often by binding to estrogen receptors and upsetting the natural testosterone-estrogen balance.

Multiple studies on BPA specifically, have linked it to a significant drop in testosterone levels.

And this synthetic estrogen doesn’t just stay neutral — it takes its attack further and stimulates aromatase, an enzyme that when activated ends up flipping more of your own testosterone into estrogen!

I’ll tell you more about aromatase and its testosterone treason in a few moments, but for now, know that you definitely don’t want it acting out.

Other studies have pinpointed BPA as the source of even more hormonal mayhem, like causing men to secrete unnaturally high amounts of estrogen.

In the end, you wind up with lower testosterone levels, higher estrogen levels, and a slew of unwanted side effects​.

All from a biological weapon that’s – quite literally – packed into your everyday water bottle.

And it’s not just BPA, studies have found that the effects of all the various xenoestrogens stack up – and since they are in virtually everything from plastics, to pesticides, to paint… there is no practical way to avoid them.

They are even found in foods like soy if you can believe that. Leading to the well-known “soy-boy” stereotype of weak men.

Studies have confirmed a whole host of issues for men directly linked to xenoestrogens such as:

  • Reduced sperm counts and poor sperm quality.
  • Accumulation of body fat.
  • Loss of libido and underwhelming erections.
  • Impact on prostate health.
  • Changes to brain structure.

Yet another major threat posed by these xenoestrogens is their impact on insulin function.

First, let me quickly explain how your liver does its essential work… and how I put together an elite nutrient team to support it at every stage.
 
The way this organ clears out estrogenic toxins is through a two-phase detoxification process.
 
Phase one is activation, and Phase two is conjugation.
Here’s how this works…

During Phase I (the Activation Stage) specialized enzymes, in particular one called cytochrome P450, convert estrogens into intermediate compounds.

Think of this like breaking down a complex task into several simpler ones.
But here’s the thing…
 
Overwhelmed by our toxic environment, your liver struggles to make this happen on its own…
 
And this is where a critical battle partner jumps into the fray.
 
It’s a nutrient called Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C), which is derived from cruciferous vegetables like cabbage or broccoli.
 
In fact, it is a precursor (meaning your body can extract this from it) to another liver booster in this formula called DIM (3,3′-Diindolylmethane) – both of which are critical players in the war on your testosterone.
 
What I3C does is promote the cytochrome P450 enzymes that “simplify” the estrogens in your system.

As I mentioned earlier, this enzyme is called Aromatase, and its sole function is to convert testosterone, your primary male hormone, into estrogen, the primary female hormone.

Now you may wonder… why the hell you, a man, would even have such a treacherous thing inside you.

The answer is that both men and women need both testosterone and estrogen to function. These hormones play many roles in our bodies and so they need to be in the right balance.
 
The problem arises when this balance is broken by foods that we were never meant to eat.
 
See, high-carb, high-sugar diets like those of most Americans, are known to have an impact on what is known as insulin resistance – in essence overloading the body with so many blood sugar spikes that over time it affects healthy insulin response and blood sugar absorption.
 
But you need to maintain healthy levels of insulin to burn excess calories efficiently and avoid storing glucose as fat.
 
And if you start putting on fat as a result of this, it will accumulate mainly in your abdomen… which will promote a response that can actually boost aromatase production!,
